Alison and Oliver
I remember when my husband took this photo, and I distinctly remember feeling pretty unsure. Unsure that I wanted to be photographed.
Over the years of practicing, I have not much been about taking photos of poses, or practice and posting. I think there are a handful of photos. Which makes the social media presence thing tricky.
I love to practice.
I love to share the practice.
I teach a lot of practices.
I practice and practice teaching a lot.
What I don’t do is post a lot about it.
Or document it.
What I can share is what I love.
This photo illustrates love. And I am thankful it was captured.
Also, the best yoga assist in the world!
In general I have a conflictual relationship with social media. I feel unsure.
As much as I see the value in the share, I feel and see the distraction in the comparison, the distraction from the life happening out here in the real world, the conversations, the experiences, the time…
It’s all a balance. I am still learning.
